I am dedicating Nya Loves to my wonderful granddaughter Nya. Nya has been diagnosed with autism and apraxia of speech. I wanted to celebrate Nya’s love of flowers, music, singing, and dance in these poems and share that celebration with you. Like Nya mouse Nya has come to us from over the ocean being adopted from Ghana. I hope that this world will become more understanding of those challenged by autism, not only for Nya’s sake but also for all of the other children.
